This beautiful bag is handmade by Kitui county women weavers in a remote rural villages in Kenya. It takes two weeks to two months to make the baskets depending with complexity of the pattern. Due to the arid/dry environment the women weave before the rainy season as well a spare moments of farm work during rainy season and house work.
